Ways to shop:

Our goal is to make shopping easy for you! We're providing multiple ways for you to shop:

  • You can shop in-store, we're open Monday to Saturday from 11 am - 7 pm; Sunday from 11 am - 6 pm.
    Holiday hours are starting Monday, December 5th! We'll be open Monday to Friday from 10 am -8 pm, Saturdays from 10 am - 7 pm, and Sundays from 10 am - 6 pm. 
  • You can shop online and pick up your order
  • We deliver within San Francisco! Place your order by 6:30 pm for next-day delivery, otherwise it will be delivered in two days.
  • You can shop online and we ship worldwide!

Return/Exchange Policy

Full-price, unused, unopened merchandise in its original packaging with all tags attached is eligible for store credit within 20 days of receipt. Write to us at customerservice@raredevice.net for return instructions. We will provide a physical address for you to mail your insured and carefully packed item to.

When we receive the returned merchandise, you will be issued store credit for the amount of your order, minus the original shipping and handling fees. Original shipping and handling fees are non-refundable, and you must pay to ship your item back to us.


If you are local, you are welcome to exchange the item in-person. Please have your order number handy if possible.


Custom orders, plants, gallery artwork (including Holiday Pop-Up items), skin care items, cosmetics, food items, and sale items are FINAL SALE.
 

 

Domestic Shipping

Domestic shipping is via USPS First Class, Priority Mail, or Express Mail or though UPS. Delivery confirmation is free but insurance is optional. All shipping options include tracking which will be provided to you once your package ships.

Orders ship within 1 to 2 business days. We may use an alternate delivery service (such as UPS) for larger packages.

Please double check your shipping address.  Rare Device will not be responsible for lost or misdirected packages due to incorrect addresses.  

Please make sure your shipping address leads to a secure location. Rare Device will not be responsible for lost, stolen, or delayed packages. 

HOLIDAY UPDATE: For Christmas Delivery, the last day to place an order will be December 17th. 

  

International Shipping

We ship worldwide and we use the following carriers: 

USPS Priority Mail

UPS Ground

DHL Express

International orders are subject to customs, local duties and taxes.  Payment of applicable duties, taxes and other fees is the customer's responsibility. Please note that due to high incidences of fraud, we will ship internationally at our discretion.

 

Store Pickup

We offer the option of Store Pickup as a Shipping Method, which means you pay nothing for shipping, and you get to come by our lovely store during business hours to pick up your order at your convenience! Pick-up is only available from 600 Divisadero St. San Francisco, CA 94117 during our regular store hours. 

Delivery

We offer delivery within San Francisco! Next-day delivery is available everyday if order is placed before 6:30pm, otherwise, your order will be delivered in two days.

Payment Options

We accept the following credit cards: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, JCB, and Diners Club. We also accept Paypal, Google Pay, Apple Pay and Shop Pay payments.

 

Sales Tax

We are required to charge 8.65% sales tax on all orders shipped to California addresses.

 

Gift Packaging

We offer a beautiful gift wrapping service! A portion of the proceeds is donated to the Homeless Prenatal Program

 

Gift Certificates

Electronic gift certificates are sent to any email address and the recipient can redeem online. You can send any amount, and incur no shipping as they are delivered electronically.  Gift Certificates are a simple, easy way to give the gift of Rare Device shopping. 

You will need to forward the gift card to your intended recipient yourself in order for them to receive your gift. At this time, gift cards bought online cannot be used at our brick and mortar store.
