Rare Device is pleased to announce our latest gallery show and pop-up shop featuring the work of Lorien Stern. Lorien is an artist who is best known for her ceramic three-dimensional shark heads and ghost vases. Each piece is carefully crafted to evoke a playful demeanor that caters to both the young and old. The show will feature her signature ceramic shark heads and ghost vases, as well as her brand’s clothing, home goods, and accessories.

Join Lorien and the Rare Device staff on Friday evening, November 9th at Rare Device Flagship at 600 Divisadero Street from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. for the opening reception. The show and pop-up shop will be up from Friday, November 9, 2018 to Monday, January 14, 2019.

About the Artist:

Lorien Stern is a full-time artist living in Inyokern, California, a small town in the Western Mojave Desert. Lorien grew up in Ojai, CA and moved to Oakland in 2009 to attend California College of the Arts. She received her BFA in 2013 in the Individualized Major program, primarily focusing on painting and ceramics.
