On September 22nd, we opened our new gallery show Living Together Separately by Michael McConnell. The community came out in full support of the Mission-based artist and small business owner. The show contains 23 new works of art inspired by Michael's 19 year relationship with his partner, and how distance can sometimes be the glue that keeps people together. Guests in attendance were invited to participate in an interactive game that includes pieces from Michael's show. There are nine house portraits that are inspired by different neighborhoods in San Francisco and Oakland. A contestant that guesses which portrait matches the neighborhood correctly will get a customized painting by Michael, either of their own neighborhood or their favorite animal! The contest runs for the duration of the show, so stop in for your chance to win.
