Hot Springs Opening Recap
On January 19th, Rare Device was happy to host the opening of Hot Springs by artist Shaine Drake. The show is comprised of 10 new works by the marble artist, using acrylic paint on lightweight Masa paper. Each piece is framed and ready to hang. Read more about the show's nostalgic look at how the spontaneity of ink and paper replicates movements in nature.
Shaine was joined by friends and family throughout the rainy night, and attendees were treated to wine and beverages while they observed the show. Attendees were also given the opportunity to win one of Shaine's marbled baseball caps by writing down what they saw in her art work, much like imagining what you see in cloudscapes.
