Thank you to everyone who came and celebrated Rare Device’s Tenth Anniversary this past Friday! It was a fun evening for all. The artist-employees of Rare Device all contributed to the festive party décor and graphics, including diamond-themed temporary tattoos that were a hit with our guests of all ages. You may have recognized among our attendees many of the artists and designers we've featured at Rare Device over the years, as well as customers and friends from neighborhood businesses. We truly appreciate each one of you in our community for welcoming and supporting Rare Device from the start. Because of you, we are celebrating ten years in business, and look forward to serving you in the years ahead!
Rare Device partnered with our Divisadero Street neighbors
Bi-Rite Market to raise funds for the Fulton Street Fire Victims via
NOPNA. We are still collecting donations. Longtime Rare Device vendor Tokyo Bay graciously donated a watch for our raffle; all proceeds from ticket sales also go towards the fund. We will be announcing our
Tokyo Bay raffle winner shortly, so stay tuned. The musical charms of Uni and her Ukulele, tarot readings by Larry, and facepainting by LikelyLexi also contributed to the evening's festivities. We celebrated with a delicious birthday cake by
Little Bee Baking based on
Lisa Congdon's artwork for Rare Device. A touch of glamour was provided by
Elizabeth Street Cosmetics creator Kelly Crispen, who set up a Lip Color Bar and expertly applied
Divisadero, a lipstick shade created exclusively for Rare Device. Flowers were provided by
Ampersand. Thank you again for celebrating with Rare Device!
