Prego
I am back from a heavenly ten days in Italy, and am trying hard to surpress the urge to say "Prego" at all occasions. It just seems to be one of those magical words you can use with some grace, instead of "um", "yeah" or "sure". Highlights include excellent gelato twice a day in Rome, superfresh squid in its own ink in Venice, and Carlo Scarpa's Castelvecchio remodel in Verona. Also I picked up the fabulous Supplemento al dizionario italiano by Bruno Munari, his 1963 photographic guide to Italian hand gestures.
We want to say thanks to Jane Magazine and Budget Travel for featuring us - Jane loves the Bubble Roome's soaps (Lucky seems to love them too this month - cheers for David!) and design*sponge included us in her guide to Brooklyn, thanks Grace!
Show update: Lisa Congdon's show 'Anatomie' will be up in less than a month. Please, please plan to stop by between mid-April and mid-May to see it. We'll have all her work online as well if you won't be in NYC and want to view the show.
Coming up this week: spring fashions (I know I've been saying it for a while, but we really should be getting things in!) by Prairie Underground, Dace and possibly some others as well. We are also cooking up some new surprises for the coming months, as always...
