The Ba Fa Hoops, featuring eight beads, take their name from Chinese numerology, in which certain numbers are considered lucky because of their similar pronunciation to other words. The number eight (八, bā in Mandarin, baat in Cantonese) is lucky because it sounds close to 发 / 發 (fā in Mandarin; baat in Cantonese) which means to obtain wealth. Designed and meticulously crafted by Abacus Row's small California team.
