"Homebody" by Sean Hipkin
Rare Device is pleased to announce our latest gallery exhibition, Homebody, featuring the work of local artist Sean Hipkin. Homebody explores the pieces and moments that can make a space into a home, pieces that bring joy and showcase life. Artifacts that exist on a shelf, in a kitchen, on a wall - that represent who we are and what is important to us.
Join Sean and the Rare Device staff on Friday evening, June 21st from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m at Rare Device Flagship, 600 Divisadero Street for the opening reception. The show will be on display from Friday, June 21, 2019 through Monday, July 29, 2019.
About the Artist:
Sean Hipkin is an artist and illustrator who finds inspiration in daily life and from the saddle of a bicycle. He believes that great things can come from following the path less traveled. He graduated from the California College of Art with a degree in Illustration. The themes of his personal work reflect quiet narratives and the magic that can be found tucked away in a cozy home, or in the tangled grass of an overgrown animal path.
