"Here, It's Beautiful" by Lisa Swerling
Rare Device is pleased to announce our latest gallery show, Here, It’s Beautiful, by Bay Area artist Lisa Swerling. The show features a collection of “Glass Cathedral” dioramas, containing different perspectives of the San Francisco Bay Area. Secret spots, treasured landmarks, inspiring individuals, public and community spaces are miniaturized and brought to life in Lisa’s sparkling art boxes, featuring figurines not much bigger than a pea. Prior to being exhibited at Rare Device, each box has been displayed around the Bay Area at locations such as 826 Valencia, The Marin Museum of Bicycling, and The Exploratorium.
Join us on Friday evening, April 26th from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. at Rare Device Flagship, 600 Divisadero Street, for the opening reception. The show will be on display from Friday, April 26, 2019, through Monday, June 10, 2019.
