States of Love is a love letter to all fifty states. We’re in this together, and there is no better time than the present to be reminded of that. This series has been six years in the making, and represents hundreds of hours of painting individual 16x20 canvases with the bear hugging the state, and featuring the state flower of each unique place.

About the artist:

Annie Galvin was born and raised in Ireland. She worked as an illustrator in Dublin before moving to San Francisco in 1989, two weeks before the earthquake. Annie is inspired by San Francisco, people-watching, textile designs, walks, gardens, short stories, and her own dreams and daydreams. She doodles constantly.

Annie, with her husband Eric Rewitzer, started 3 Fish Studios in San Francisco in 2007. From its original space in SF's Dogpatch district, to their memorable storefront in the SF's Outer Sunset, and now to their new location in Amador County, in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada, the pair continue to cultivate a space and community where they can make and show their work together.
