Gather by Risa Iwasaki Culbertson: Opening Reception
Risa Iwasaki Culbertson's new show Gather is in the gallery, and we couldn't be happier. The show is fun, furry, and fabulous! Gather features 25 new felted works from Risa, depicting some of her favorite foods from family meals she's shared with her grandmother and great aunt. The folks over at Troop Beverage were nice enough to provide us with canned cocktails (including a new flavor we've never had, Gin Spritz!) Attendees participated in an Instagram contest giveaway, and the winner got to take home a Jumbo Shrimp that Risa made. There was also a fun word search on the menu-inspired price list.
