Happenings

Reminder: I will be giving a talk on the 20th of September with Amy of Greenjeans and that is at the American Craft Council library in Manhattan. We'll be speaking about our experiences "Blogging the Handmade" and how this very blog affects (and is affected by) our relationship to our shop and also you, our readership and community.

Hope you can visit that week at the shop! You may see me hovering around, making everyone nervous :) I will also be attending some tradeshows and grabbing more goods for the SF store.
Read on for more about what's new at the Brooklyn shop.

New in the store: Planners and stationery by the multi-talented Laurel Denise. Laurel is doing my reverse career path by adding on more design categories! I shed the graphic design first and then the jewelry design. I think this means she will turn into a web designer soon!

Brand-new ceramics line for us - White Bike Ceramics from Williamsburg. Minimal yet imperfect, this is my kind of stuff for sure. Lauren doesn't want to be a superstar though her goods are awesome enough to make her one and that means very limited production, folks. We are really happy to carry her matte porcelain work. Working on getting some photos for you.
More goodies from the Shopsin General Store. Ridiculously cute notecards, utterly necessary tongue depressors, and a small lapel pin with Abe Lincoln on it. Huh? Yeah.

Finally we are restocked on Nantaka Joy stationery. Something about this time of year makes people want to buy cards, journals and planners...
