Yellow Owl Workshop + Lovemade DIY Gift Wrap Workshop

On Saturday, December 13 from 10:30am to noon, Rare Device is thrilled to host two fantastic local brands in collaboration for a DIY gift wrap workshop at Rare Device Noe Valley that's certain to appeal to the entire family. Yellow Owl Workshop and Lovemade will be helping participants create their own custom-stamped gift wrap (including Furoshiki-style cloth gift wrap) and gift tags. Christine Schmidt, the founder and creative force behind Yellow Owl, will be running the workshop, which is perfect for kids as well as design-minded parents. Lovemade is an events series that celebrates the special intersection between what adults love and what kids love. Lovemade was created by Jeanne Chan and Janette Crawford, creative entrepreneurs and kindred spirits in San Francisco, California. The events the Lovemade creates are all about involving and benefitting children while also being of interest to parents. In Jeanne and Janette's words: "We love exposing our kids to all that we love, from good style to good food."

Yellow Owl Workshop is a longtime Rare Device staple and favorite. Founded in 2007 by Christine Schmidt, Yellow Owl focuses on bold colors, an original, handmade aesthetic, attention to detail, and ecologically responsible materials. The brand has grown and Schmidt and her team of hardworking ladies run a buzzing studio in the Mission. Check out Yellow Owl's Holiday Pop-Up Shop at Rare Device's Divisadero shop, up until January 5.
