Celebrating Rare Device Noe Valley

A few Saturdays ago we invited our friends and neighbors to come to the new store to fête Rare Device's second location. We decked the space out with giant gold balloons, sweets from Noe Valley Bakery (conveniently--and dangerously--located just next door!), and bubbly from Noe Valley Wine Merchants, located just steps down 24th Street. It was truly a neighborhood affair, and lots of people from the neighborhood stopped by to say hello.

Another neighbor, and longtime friend of Rare Device, Kelly Crispen of Elizabeth Street Cosmetics, was in-store all day with a trunk show featuring her complete line of glosses and lipsticks, all of which are named after streets here in San Francisco. Find her glosses at our Divis location, and her lipsticks exclusively at our Noe Valley shop!

Guests took home brand-new Rare Device tote bags, created by local designer and Rare Device's own Kehau Lyons, and also had the chance to enter a raffle to win one of the tote bags filled with gifts from around the store. Proceeds from the raffle went to benefit the Noe Valley Town Square project, which works to transform the parking lot area at 24th Street + Sanchez Street into a permanent community space with the capacity to host the Noe Valley Farmer's Market, music events, food pantries, cafe seating, and other community events. Our raffle winner was Kendall Jones--congratulations, Kendall!

Kendall Jones, our lucky raffle winner (and her new tote bag--available at both RD stores).

Thanks to all of our new Noe Valley neighbors for coming out! The entire Rare Device staff had such a great time hanging out with everyone. Come visit us soon if you haven't already at 4071 24th Street, between Noe and Castro Streets. We can't wait to meet you!
