About Ink & Isolation:
Ink & Isolation features hand-carved linoleum prints. Through my art, I try to bring the natural world indoors. A flower can instantly remind you of a loved one, where you’re from, or where you’re going. Bringing representations of flora and fauna inside allows one to pay tribute to their beauty, and reminds us to slow down and connect with what really matters. For me, nature is a teacher that highlights impermanence and the need to enjoy every fleeting moment in its entirety.
About Regina "Push" Estrada:
Regina “Push” Estrada is best known as a tattoo artist, but for decades has explored nature, surrealism, and desire through different materials and mediums. She is the owner of Gold Leaf Ink, a fine line and blackwork tattoo shop known as a safe space for womxn, POC, and the queer community. While sheltering in place due to Covid-19, Reg found peace carving linoleum and hand pressing them with ink. She draws inspiration from botany, geometric patterns, and impermanence, and these themes influence both her linocuts and recent tattoo work.
