We are closed for a week

Urban dwelling is filled with surprises, and two months ago one occured on Rare Device's doorstep with a bang. A car crashed into the hydrant in front of the store, causing a major flood. We were happy to hear that there were no major injuries, but bummed that we lost inventory and the building suffered water damage.
This week, starting Monday April 29th, we'll be closed for about a week so that repairs can be done to our flood-damaged wall and ceiling. We will also be unable to ship out any online orders until we re-open on (hopefully) May 7. We appreciate your patience during this time, and regret any inconvenience this causes.

The good news is that we will be open in time for the Divisadero Art Walk on May 9 and for you to get your Mother's Day shopping done! Mother's Day is on Sunday, May 12. We have 2 gallery shows going up right after we re-open. Featuring Dutch Door Press and Julia Gabriel. See you next week!

For the month of May, we have also moved our monthly story, song and dance time to the 2nd Friday, May 10th.

In the meantime, you can catch us at our 1-month pop-up at Makeshift Society starting Wednesday, May 1.
