Rare Device got a little shout-out in the NY Times in an article about the mystical connection between Brooklyn and SF. They mention us and Mollusk Surf Shop as two bicoastal shops that seem like a good fit for both towns. I hear that Built By Wendy is opening up soon in the Mission District so it's good to know the love is continuing to flow in both directions.
When I was in Brooklyn, we did have a lot of ex-Bay Area folk who lived in the neighborhood (who generally equated Park Slope with Noe Valley, when we talked) and I am always happy to see Brooklyn folk visiting and making the pilgrimage to the SF shop. So, maybe there's something to it :)

The article was so well timed, because I’m about to move back to the East Bay where I grew up from where I currently live, Williamsburg. “SanFrooklyn” is my new favorite term.
