In the series One Million Houseplants, Jennifer Maravillas is considering her own relationship to the wonder-filled beings in her life. Realizing a childhood dream of living in a jungle-filled house may never come true, she will attempt to create one million portraits of her houseplants and those encountered in life and travels. Similar to watching her plants grow, these meditations will consider the geometry of growth in plants and light wavelengths using block printing and sprayed paint. Each numbered and unique still life is created exclusively for Rare Device in San Francisco, CA.
