On July 6, 1944, eleven years before Rosa Parks, another individual refused to move to the back of a bus: 2nd Lieutenant Jack Roosevelt Robinson. After being honorably discharged from his trial, he pursued a passion for baseball. A few short years later, he was called up to the Major Leagues by the Brooklyn Dodgers, breaking the color barrier and providing momentum to the larger desegregation movement.
This limited edition set, a tribute to Jackie Robinson, features balanced graphite with a white barrel, blue imprint and eraser, and an iconic red 42. The number 42 not only honors Jackie’s achievements - it celebrates those who pursue their passions, regardless of the obstacles in their way. This set includes 12 pencils.
