Alison Jean Cole’s objects are crafted from rock and mineral at her small shop at her home in the Pacific Northwest. Large pieces of raw material are cut into slabs, and from these slabs, Cole trims the specific shapes that adorns her jewelry and accessory pieces. Each stone is polished by hand, making for an arduous yet rewarding process.
The beauty of her objects comes from the many stones and shapes that she uses in a myriad of combinations, making each a truly unique piece. Stones include lapis, malachite, rose quartz, among countless others.
