These mugs from Chips Japan have quite the following and with good reason. The fun and colorful designs are grounded by an earth clay base. What people don't know about these mugs is that they're actually made out of white porcelain, a finer grained, more malleable version than its clay counterpart. This allows for more design precision when creating shapes and curves. You'll also love the comfortable handles, which the company went through many prototypes to land on a design that is sturdy and comfy when held. Each mug is created on the wheel, so each one will vary slightly. Each mug holds 12.85 ounces (a nice serving of coffee) and is dishwasher and microwave safe. Chips Japan recommends boiling in rice water to prevent staining.
