February Snapshot

Here are some fun new things at the shop, at a glance. First up is a sunglass/eyeglass case by Hayden Harnett. Note the gorgeous lining, suede-wrapped purse frame and little rivets that make up the design on the outside. Awesome execution.

You can see similar rivet/stitching detail on their new crossbody bag. This one has a very long strap, which is everyone's favorite feature on a bag in New York.

We have just added Pangea Organics, for face and body. We looked a long time and we really like their lineup. It's hard to find products like this at the south end of the Slope so we decided to bring 'em in. They feel and smell great and the little grey boxes they come in are impregnated with seeds - plant them and grow some basil or amaranth! A nice bonus.

A shot of Re-surface's new pendant light, quite stunning at night. Larger table lamps available by custom order. Donna uses reclaimed wood for the bigger bases so every lamp will be limited-edition and one of a kind.

We are still backordered on the Olle Eksell book, but we received more Tim Biskup books, more Japanese book design books, and these two new titles. This first one is an illustrated volume of those pesky but funny spam e-mails everyone gets. I cannot resist projects like this. A good gift for your graphic designer friends.

This is a great PIE Books title called Le Livre Du Livre. They are "found" book cover designs, yellowed with stains and all, for books that don't exist! Sorry the text is in Japanese but the art (and the conceit) is worth it.
